Scooter Night – December 16th

With the Jingle Bell Ride coming up this Saturday, let’s keep this week’s Scooter Night at a local distance. Embrace the cool air and join us this Thursday, 12/16 at 7pm at the Stardust for some pre-ride chitter-chatter. At 8pm, we’ll take a venture over to Johnny’s Fillin Station on Michigan Ave. for what is said to be the “Best Burger in O-Town” (http://www.johnnysfillinstation.com/). Dress warm, come hungry, and have fun!

Scooter Night – December 9th

Now that everyone has broken their scoots (and selves) into the cold weather, let’s bring this week’s destination back closer to home. Come out to the Stardust Cafe this Thursday 12/9 at 7pm and join us in a ride over to Wall Street Cantina in Downtown Orlando. Bundle up, but come hungry and ready to have a good time!

*Save the date: December 18th is our Annual Jingle Bell Ride. Dress to impress (your scooter that is) and join us in a tour of some of the best Christmas decorations in Orlando.

Monthly Ride – November 27th

There will not be a scooter night this week as a result of the Thanksgiving holiday. We wish everyone a safe and festival day with those your loved ones! Meanwhile, Saturday, November 27th, the Orlando Scooter Society returns to Lagniappe! That’s right. One year after our original invasion, we’re returning to the location of the OSS’ first ride: The Lagniappe Brewing Company. Everyone will meet up at Stardust at 11am and we’ll ride out at 11:30. There will be a fast group and a slow group to accommodate the 50′s. Ride all around, enjoy a few drinks at the brewing company, and then a few more at the Tiki Bar down the street! A fun repeat of a ride we all enjoyed last year. Hope to see you all there! (check the forum for route details)

Scooter Night – October 28th

Now that everyone has had their fill of Mexican grub, let’s switch things up a bit and head to Thorton Park for some good ‘ole BBQ. Join us this Thursday, October 28th, at 7pm at the Stardust Cafe in Winter Park. We will ride out at 8pm, heading over to Wildside BBQ for some great food and an even greater environment. Hope to see you there!

Montly Ride – October 23rd

With fall in the air, what a perfect time for a monthly ride. Join us this Saturday, the 23rd, at 11am at the Panera Bread on 436 and Maitland Avenue near the Altamonte Mall. There will be two groups to accomodate different riding speeds: the 50′s will head out at 11:30am, the rest will will leave at noon. The route will take us up 436 to 441, down 435 to 46, through beautiful downtown Mount Dora, to Lakeshore Drive and finally arriving at our destination: O’Keefe’s in Tavares. Check out the events section on the forum for additional ride info. Have a good time, and leave on your on schedule. Be there!

Scooter Night – September 30th

Join Orlando Scooter Society as we welcome our Tampa Two Stroke neighbors to the O-Town. Everyone will be meeting up at 7pm at the Stardust in Winter Park. Be ready to ride out at 8pm for a scenic tour of Downtown and Winter Park, landing a spot at 903 Mills Market. A little bit of the unique Orlando experience for our not-so-far neighbors from the south, Mills Market has some great food, a chill atmosphere, and plenty of off-the-wall beers to keep you talking. We look forward to saying goodbye to September with a better-than-ever scooter night and hope you will join in on the fun!

Dinner Ride – September 18th

Join us just for fun this Saturday for a dinner ride out to Black Hammock in Oviedo. We will be meeting at the Stardust at 5pm, followed shortly after by a winding ride to the Oviedo landmark. We’d love to see everyone come out for a leisurely ride, food, drinks, and a good time!

*Don’t forget: White Sand Mayhem II is next weekend! If you haven’t made your travel arrangements yet, you’d better get on the ball.

Monthly Ride – August 27th through 29th

Hotel reservations are in and many of us got our scoots ready at wrench day, so now we welcome you to the biggest ride ever for Orlando Scooter Society. Join us next weekend for an adventure back in time to St. Augustine, Florida. We will be meeting at 7pm on Friday 8/27 at the Stardust in Winter Park. Please arrive on time as we will be riding out promptly at 7:15pm to get to St. Augustine around 11 to check into the Pirate Haus. Saturday we’ll be up and ready to ride by 10am to the historical area to meet with any other scooter groups who wish to join in. Saturday will allow everyone to get into small groups to tour the area at their discretion. Everyone will meet back at the Pirate Haus at 6pm to head out to Mclean’s Pub for dinner. Sunday we’ll get up at 9am and head back to Orlando around 10:30am, returning to town around 3pm. Be sure to check the forum for additional information. Further details will also be posted next week. Monthly Ride – July 24th

Join us this Saturday for the first-ever Orlando Scooter Society Midnight Run. We’re going to switch things up a bit and meet up at 11pm at the Denny’s on 436 & Aloma. At midnight, we’ll ride down 436 toward the Orlando International Airport for some terminal cruising, then head south into the Boggy Creek area. We’ll shift over to the Orlando Racetrack Complex for a glance and work our way back to E. Colonial Drive to end the adventure at California Burrito Kitchen. There’s nothing like an over-stuffed burrito at 4am. Yum! This will be a one-of-a-kind ride and we hope you can join in the fun!

Monthly Ride – June 26th

The June Ride is this Saturday, June 26. We were originally planning to go to Blue Springs, but we were unable to get a spot to do the cook out. After voting on the forum, we will now be going to Rock Springs. This Saturday we will be meeting at the Panara Bread on 436 in Altamonte Springs. We will leave Panera by 9am to ride out to Rock Springs. Please e-mail orlandoscootersociety@yahoo.com or check out the Events Section of the Forum to get more infomation. This is a BBQ, so if you want to sign up to bring something please let us know. There will be a van transporting food and supplies the day of the event. We look forward to you joining us for fun, swimming, and good food!
