December Ride Review!

The Jingle Bell Ride, held on December 12th, was a successful and fun ride! We met at the Stardust at 6:30 and were on the road at 7. The weather was nice – about 70 degrees. The ride first took us to Winter Park near Aloma and Lakemont The neighborhood had a few blocks that were well-lit. Next, the ride rolled to a neighborhood off Howell Branch. There was an incredible house there. After that, the club took to the twisties and took the loonnng way to Crane’s Roost. At Crane’s Roost we stopped and had some “hot” cocoa. We noticed that the ride that was suppose to take an hour had actually taken 1 hour and 45 minutes and we were not at our final destination yet! Knowing that our final destination had a band taking the stage in 15 minutes, the club decided to change the final destination to Tom and Jerry’s on 17-92. A quick route was taken to Tom and Jerry’s, where the scooter decoration contest took place. Kyle won the contest with his Zuma that was sporting Christmas wrapping paper, a radio playing Christmas tunes, and Christmas tree with lights hanging off the back of his scooter. Congrat’s to Kyle and a thank you to all who joined the club for the ride!

Monthly Ride – December 12th

This Saturday, Orlando Scooter Society is hosting a “Jingle Bell” ride! Basically, the club is going to ride around parts of fancy town and look at pretty lights. Come on, I know you like shiny things and blinking lights! The ride is at 7pm so let’s all meet at the Stardust at 6:30pm. This is going to be a slow pace ride as we are mainly in neighborhoods in Winter Park and surrounding areas. The ride will be approximately 1 hour long and end over at the Copper Rocket. There will be a prize for the scooter with the most x-mas spirit, too! If you have any questions or know of an awesome x-mas light display please send an email to Orlandoscootersociety@yahoo.com. As always, this ride is open to all scooters and is 50cc friendly.
